Up to 3,000 Swedes are estimated to be in Lebanon, where tens of thousands of people are fleeing Israel's attacks.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) urges all Swedes to return home to Sweden.

Go home while it is still possible to go home. The airport is open and several airlines are still operating. But it can become a very, very difficult situation, he says to TT.

According to the Prime Minister, there is a preparedness to take measures in extreme situations.

We always have preparedness for all possible different situations around the world and especially in the world's crisis areas. We are following it extremely closely.

At the same time, he emphasizes that a great deal of personal responsibility rests on the Swedes who are in the war-torn country.

At the bottom, it is an individual responsibility. That's how it is.

I believe that there are people who underestimate the risks they expose themselves to.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised against all travel to Lebanon since the end of last year.
