The pressure on tickets for Oasis' reunion tour next year is enormous and now three more dates are being added to the British leg of the tour.
The official release date for tickets is August 31, but fans can register for pre-sale beforehand. This has created a lot of anxiety about the system crashing under the enormous pressure, and many are already missing confirmation of their registration for pre-sale.
Trying to calm down
In a statement on X, the band is doing its best to calm nervous fans:
"We are aware that many of you are still waiting for your confirmation emails. They are on their way, we are handling an unexpected number of requests," they write, among other things.
The news that Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have buried the hatchet and will reunite after 15 years became a world sensation on Tuesday. The news came the same week as the breakthrough album "Definitely Maybe" turns 30 years old, and music experts predict that the reunion could bring in more than 50 million pounds (equivalent to 670 million kronor) each for the brothers.
According to Oasis' official website, there are also plans for concerts outside of Europe, but no performance dates have been presented yet.
Splintered in 2009
Oasis was formed in Manchester in the early 1990s and sold over 70 million albums during their 20 active years. They repeatedly topped the British sales chart and had eight number one singles. Among the band's hit songs are "Don't Look Back in Anger", "Sad Song", "Supersonic", and "Wonderwall".
The band splintered in 2009 after a fight before a concert in Paris that ended with Liam smashing his brother's guitar. Over the years since then, Liam Gallagher has repeatedly appealed to his brother to reunite, while Noel has been completely uninterested, and their public feuds have followed each other.
