Over the past few weeks, Sveriges Radio P3 has been playing song after song from the list P300, created by a jury consisting of 150 "music lovers" and experts. And perhaps a debate is waiting when the top ten placements on the list are now revealed.

At the top of the list is Robyn with "Dancing on my own", the first single from the Swedish artist's album "Body talk pt 1".

"From the subways in New York to the audience in front of the orange stage at Roskilde and on dance floors around the world – everyone sings along to this melancholic hit", explains Tina Mehrafzoon, program host for P3, to TT.

Second is "Purple rain" by Prince and third "Both sides now" by Joni Mitchell. Beach Boys, Donna Summer, Madonna, and Abba also rank high on the list.

But where are The Beatles and Springsteen, one might wonder? Answer: much further down.

"It's partly about how each jury member ranked their songs, but maybe it's also about the present time. I'm not saying The Beatles and Springsteen haven't made a cultural impact, but in the current musical climate that the jury is based on, there's other music that may have made a more significant impact", says Tina Mehrafzoon.

1. Robyn: "Dancing on my own"

2. Prince: "Purple rain"

3. Joni Mitchell: "Both sides now"

4. Beach Boys: "God only knows"

5. Donna Summer: "I feel love"

6. Madonna: "Like a prayer"

7. Abba: "Dancing queen"

8. Curtis Mayfield: "Move on up"

9. The Knife: "Silent shout"

10. Kate Bush: "Running up that hill (A deal with God)"
