Israel has launched new airstrikes against what is described as Hezbollah targets in Beirut, announces the Israeli military (IDF) just after midnight on Wednesday.
"The IDF is currently conducting raids against Hezbollah-linked terrorist targets in Beirut", says a statement on Telegram just hours after Iran carried out a comprehensive drone attack on Israel.
Shortly before, the IDF urged residents in the southern parts of the city to leave their homes, especially in a named suburb.
In parallel with the raids on Beirut, Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the IDF, states that the Israeli air force continues to strike targets in the Middle East.
"The air force continues its operations in full and will strike in the Middle East with full force, just as it has done over the past year", says Hagari in a statement.
