According to the police, no crime was behind a death in Vännäs at the end of July, which Västerbottenskuriren was the first to report.
It was last Tuesday that the police were alerted about an injured man, who later died after being taken to hospital. One person was arrested and detained on suspicion of murder, but was later released and has now been completely cleared from the investigation.
The investigation itself is still ongoing, however. The police are waiting for the results of the autopsy, but do not believe that the results will change anything in the case.
