Therese Sjögran is leaving Rosengård to become the new football manager in the English top club Manchester City, according to The Athletic.
The 47-year-old ended her long playing career after the 2015 World Championship and immediately stepped into the role of sports manager at Rosengård. She has held the position since then. If the British reports are correct, she is leaving the top job.
Rosengård recently secured its 14th Swedish Championship gold in football after delivering its most superior season to date. The Malmö team has won all 23 matches in the women's top division this year and is only three wins away from a perfect season.
Manchester City, which tops the English Super League, has been without a football manager on the women's side since June when the Dane Niels Nielsen left the post.
