SD profile backs Jomshof – shares images further

A number of people, including SD-profile Mattias Karlsson, have shown their support for Richard Jomshof by re-posting the images suspected of inciting hatred against an ethnic group. We'll take a closer look at it later, says prosecutor Joakim Zander.

SD-profile Mattias Karlsson is one of those who has published the images, after party colleague Richard Jomshof went out with that he is a suspect of a crime after sharing the images on the platform X.

"If someone wants to report me to the police as well for posting a photo of Richard's reposting of the satirical drawing in question, in the name of enlightenment, then be my guest", writes Mattias Karlsson on X, which Aftonbladet was the first to report.

"It is a very dangerous path for freedom of speech and democracy that the judicial system has now embarked on with this action against Jomshof", Karlsson writes further in the post.

According to SD sources to Aftonbladet, Jomshof is fully backed by the Sweden Democrats, and Mattias Karlsson's post represents the party's opinion on the matter.

According to prosecutor Joakim Zander, who is investigating the suspicions against Richard Jomshof, it is too early to say what it means that the images are now being re-published by other people.

I do not want to anticipate anything. But I have heard that images of party colleagues would be posted. But I cannot take a stance on that right now, he says to TT.

It is an interesting development and we will have to look at it further.

However, the fact that the images are now being shared by other people does not currently affect the suspicions against Richard Jomshof.

No, it is an act that I have assessed that he should be heard as reasonably suspected of, says Joakim Zander.

Then there may be more acts, but then one has to take them one by one.
