Sebastian Söderberg continues to play brilliantly and leads the European Tour's Scandinavian Mixed tournament clearly.

For Olympic-bound Madelene Sagström, the tournament is already over after a disastrous finish on Friday.

Sagström is primarily concerned with Linn Grant about a spot in the summer Olympics. Behind Maja Stark, who has a grip on one of the two tickets to Paris, Sagström and Grant are competing for the highest world ranking when the Olympic spots are distributed.

Scandinavian Mixed at Vasatorps GK outside Helsingborg became a clear victory for Grant, clear after two rounds. Grant is standing at nine under par and is shading the top players, while Sagström has already played through.

Halfway through Friday's play, Madelene Sagström was on her way to a cannon round – after nine holes, she was five under par – but then everything went wrong.

Bogeys on holes 10, 12, 13, and 16 were bad enough. But the finish on 18 – a triple bogey, to boot, after hitting a cameraman in the head – ruined the day completely. A total of one under par was not enough to qualify for the cut.

Sebastian Söderberg has had a windfall under Scandinavian Mixed. The 33-year-old tops the leaderboard with a stunning -15, three strokes better than Scottish Scott Jamieson. Just like on Thursday, Söderberg had a bogey-free scorecard, and with four birdies and an eagle, he stepped off the course at six under par for the day.

The press that comes with being the hunted takes it gladly.
