Two people were taken to hospital after being stabbed on Gamlestadstorg in Gothenburg, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on.
They are still being treated in hospital, but neither of them has life-threatening injuries, says police spokesperson Christian Brattgård to TT.
The police have several patrols on site searching the area.
There may be more perpetrators who have fled the scene, says Christian Brattgård.
Witnesses alerted the police to the incident, which occurred at around 16:30 on Friday.
The incident is classified as attempted murder or manslaughter.
