There are many who mourn after Sven-Göran Eriksson's death. Among others, his former girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio, who honors her Swedish ex-partner.
"Even though our relationship had its ups and downs, I choose to remember the good times together and all the moments that brought joy to our lives", she writes in a post on Instagram with several old pictures of the couple.
"I will always hold on to the dear memories and I want to express my deepest condolences to his family. When you love someone, that love never really fades away. Rest in peace, Sven. You will be missed."
Eriksson met the lawyer and media personality Dell'Olio in 1998 when he was the coach for Lazio in Rome. Their stormy and much-publicized relationship lasted until 2007.
