A 17-year-old boy is now suspected of attempted murder of an 18-year-old in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, yesterday.
Due to his young age, he is not being held in custody, but is instead being taken care of by social authorities.
He is also being detained for possession of weapons – according to the police, he had access to both a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver.
The shooting took place on Falkoner Allé in Frederiksberg. According to the police, the 17-year-old fired at least six shots at the 18-year-old, who was hit by one of the shots. The motive is unknown, but the police believe that more people were involved.
This is the third time in a week that a Swedish teenager is suspected of attempted murder in Denmark.
Following two shootings in Denmark last Wednesday, a 16-year-old Swedish boy and a 17-year-old Swedish boy have been detained for suspected involvement. One of the shootings took place in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, the other in Kolding.
Danish TV2 Kosmopol reports that Swedish citizens have been suspected of involvement in eleven crimes in Denmark over the past year, including attempted murder, explosions, possession of weapons, and murder.
