What has happened is sick. Some of my friends knew her. Everyone is talking about it, says one of them with his head bowed.
A city in shock
The group of teenagers then move on towards the City Hall Square, where around 200 people have gathered to light candles for the girl.
Helena Larsson is one of the initiators and says that the city has been in shock for the past few days.
It's very unsettling and sad. I think it's taken time for many to realize what has happened. At first, no one knew it was such a young girl, but now it's time for us to gather and show respect for this girl and her relatives.
Feeling a sense of unease
Heidi Bergqvist, also an initiator, adds that many parents have felt a sense of unease and that it's important to gather and do something together.
Parents who have children of the same age feel a sense of unease. You've trusted that children would be safe when they're with their friends. What has happened is very unsettling and sad.
I have a 14-year-old son. He hasn't said much more than that it's sad and terrible. He sees my unease and wonders why he has to come home so early.
"Was a good girl"
In the sea of people gathered on the square, a group of teenage girls stand and talk about the girl.
I've heard that she was a good girl who did a lot for others. I follow her on Tiktok. She was so beautiful. She hadn't even graduated, says Hevin, trying to hold back her tears.
I don't understand how anyone could do this.
Her friend Susanne takes over when Hevin lets her tears fall.
