During the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Sweden took nine medals.

Before the Olympic Games in Paris, the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) set the goal that the Swedish team would take ten medals during the games.

We have a stronger team than in Tokyo. We're going to France with a belief that our team can take ten medals, said team leader Peter Reinebo before the games.

Nine Olympic medals have currently been awarded to Swedes.

The latest medal was taken by Anton Dahlberg and Lovisa Karlsson, a bronze in sailing's 470-class.

Since the men's national table tennis team has also reached the Olympic final and thus secured a medal, Sweden has reached SOK's goal of ten.

Late on Thursday evening, the Åhman/Hellvig duo also secured an additional one, Sweden's eleventh Olympic medal in Paris, when they advanced to the Olympic final in beach volleyball.

Sweden is in 16th place in the medal table with nine medals.

The Olympic Games continue until Sunday, and there are still Swedish medal opportunities in, among other things, golf, diving, and women's shot put.

The sports statistics company Gracenote's prognosis before the Olympic Games was twelve medals for Sweden, four of each value.
