For almost 50 years, "Saturday Night Live" has been a reliable breeding ground for generations of comedians who later became stars. But you couldn't believe it in the beginning. The very chaotic build-up to the first TV broadcast in 1975 is depicted here as a thriller-like drama where everything seems to be going wrong.

"The Other One's Place" (Netflix).

Chile's Oscar candidate "The Other One's Place" will not have a cinema premiere in Sweden but will go directly to Netflix. In director Maite Alberdi's drama, a young secretary at the court becomes obsessed with a famous writer who is on trial for murdering his lover.

"It Could Have Been Us".

A documentary where actors Emma Örtlund and Ida Johansson, together with Pär Johansson, from Glada Hudik-teatern, describe what it was like to live with intellectual disabilities in a different time, with the horrific experiments at Vipeholm Institution as an example.

TV/STREAMING

" (12/10, SVT1/SVT Play).

When Prince Andrew (Michael Sheen) gets drawn into the scandal surrounding the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, he has to speak out on TV. What the royal family thinks will be a gentle interview develops into a nightmare when he is faced with BBC journalist Emily Maitlis (Ruth Wilson). The three-part miniseries depicts the build-up and the actual interview, as well as the aftermath that had consequences for those involved.

"

" (11/10, AppleTv+).

Acclaimed filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón ("Roma") directs Cate Blanchett in this miniseries, told on multiple timelines. Award-winning documentary filmmaker Catherine's seemingly successful life risks falling apart when an older man (Kevin Kline) reveals that he knows a secret she long believed was buried. Now he's out for brutal revenge.

"

" (11/10, Max).

Max's first French TV series is based on the true story of Chris (Laure Calamy), who, after the terrorist attack on the Bataclan rock club in Paris in 2015, pretends to be a victim to find the community she lacks in life.
