The Olympics are starting on its new streaming home Discovery+ and Max, but for those who are looking forward to something other than sports, week 30 delivers a bunch of new titles.

FILM 24/7

"Deadpool & Wolverine"

The superhero backlash hit hard after titles like "Madame Webb", "The Flash" and "Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania". With all the TV series that also connect different universes, the audience has become tired and irritated. The child-prohibited "Deadpool & Wolverine" is the only superhero role on the cinema this summer, where the two anti-heroes Deadpool and Wolverine will fight against and with each other. Maybe the crude film can ignite a dwindling blockbuster spark, or at least provide some necessary distance to the genre.

.

"The Falling Star" (26/6)

French noir about a man who has lived on the run for 35 years and works at the bar The Falling Star when the past catches up. Quirky mix of burlesque humor and mystery. Opening film at this year's Bergman Week in Fårö.

.

TV/Streaming

"Time Bandits" (24/7, Apple TV+)

Family adventure in ten parts based on Terry Gilliam's film classic. In a world of new remakes every week, this could end anyway. But exciting to see how Lisa Kudrow manages to lead the time-traveling bandits to Stonehenge, the dinosaurs' prehistoric era, the Trojan horse, the Middle Ages, the Ice Age, and so on.

.

"The Serial Killer's Wife" (24/7, TV4 Play)

British drama thriller in four tight episodes. Career climber Beth (Annabel Scholey) is shocked when her husband is suspected of being a serial killer. Soon, her own investigation reveals that she doesn't know her husband as well as she thought, while details about her own past are uncovered.

.

"The Orchestra", season 2 (24/7, SVT Play)

The acclaimed Danish series about the dysfunctional orchestra is back. Bo is demoted to third clarinet and Simon's ego swells when he gets a leadership role. At the same time, a savings package is to be implemented and angry feelings are tried to be calmed with yoga.

.

"The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" (25/7, Prime Video)

"Hitler doesn't play by the rules, so we can't either", says Winston Churchill. At least in Guy Ritchie's entertaining action film, which is loosely based on the true story of a group of British military officials who went behind enemy lines during World War II. The military "dirty tricks" laid the foundation for today's SAS and Black Ops warfare.

.

"Decameron" (25/7, Netflix)

Fun Zosia Mamet (Shoshanna in "Girls") plays one of the lead roles in Netflix's fluffy sex comedy set in 14th-century Italy, when the plague comes to Florence. The series is based on Giovanni Boccaccio's novella collection, written during the same period.
