A player in the women's top division team Rosengård has been threatened repeatedly during the season. Now, the club's chairman Håkan Wifvesson tells SVT that he has been informed of another threat that also targets all players in the entire women's top division.
If they don't succeed with that threat, they direct a general threat against all players in the entire league, he says.
Wifvesson has informed Elitfotboll dam, the interest organization for the women's top division and elitettan. Secretary-General Tomas Hoszek tells SVT:
We don't know more than that it's a serious threat that has escalated, we must take this seriously, it's not something you can just brush off.
The new threat has also been reported to the police.
