The International Automobile Federation FIA believes that F1 stars are role models for young people and therefore must take care of their language. Therefore, the reigning World Champion will be punished with some form of community service. Exactly what will be determined together with FIA.

It was at Thursday's press conference before the weekend's GP race in Singapore that Verstappen swore when he described the car not performing well during Azerbaijan, where he finished fifth.

At the same press conference, the World Championship leader argued against the criticism the drivers had received from FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem for using profanity when talking over the radio with their teams, something that goes out in TV broadcasts.

Are we five-year-olds or six-year-olds, said Verstappen.

In other sports, you don't compete with microphones on you. I think many in other sports say very bad things when they're full of adrenaline.

The F1 colleague said at the press conference that he instead thinks FIA should ensure that not so much of the radio chat is broadcast on TV to avoid getting profanity.
