Ticketmaster confirms that it has been targeted by a hacker attack.

The hacking group Shinyhunters has previously announced that they have stolen data on 560 million customers from the company.

Shinyhunters claimed as early as May 27 that they had stolen the data, and announced that the data was for sale for $500,000 (5.3 million kronor).

Ticketmaster's parent company Live Nation announced on Friday, American time, that they had "identified unauthorized activity" a week before the hacking group posted about it on online forums.

"We are working to reduce the risks for our users and the company, and have notified and collaborated with law enforcement agencies," Live Nation states in a statement to American authorities.

According to the company, the incident will not have a significant impact on its business operations or financial position.

Ticketmaster is based in California and operates one of the world's largest online platforms for ticket sales to various events. They also have operations in Sweden.
