Djurgården and Malmö FF are penalized by the European Football Association Uefa for thrown objects and pyrotechnics during qualifying matches for club team tournaments, reports TV4 Football Channel.

Djurgården is fined approximately 770,000 kronor (68,000 euro) for incidents in connection with the last qualifying match for the Conference League at home against Maribor. At that time, walkways at Tele2 Arena were also blocked.

For MFF, it concerns incidents in connection with the home match against Sparta Prague in the playoff for the Champions League. For Malmö, the fine is 430,000 kronor (38,000 euro). The club has previously been fined a total of 408,000 kronor for incidents in the two previous qualifying rounds.

Malmö qualified for the Europa League and will receive a starting amount of approximately 98 million kronor. Djurgården will play in the Conference League in the fall and has secured at least 40 million kronor.
