Despite this, Donald Trump promises, during a campaign meeting in Michigan, that the state will cover the entire cost.

Trump has had several contradictory positions on women's reproductive rights over the years. He has repeatedly taken credit for his role in overturning Roe vs Wade and called it "a beautiful thing", but he has also advocated for the right to IVF, including when the state of Alabama ruled that frozen embryos should be considered children under state law.
