Ukrainian high jump star and world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh took the Olympic Games gold after winning the women's high jump final with a jump over two meters in the first attempt.
Silver medalist Nicola Olyslagers, Australia, also cleared 2.00, but not until the third attempt.
The bronze was shared between Ukrainian Iryna Gerashchenko and Australian Eleanor Patterson. This meant that both countries took a medal double each.
