Greece is being criticised by the UN's migration agency IOM and refugee agency UNCHR for failing to investigate one of the worst drowning disasters involving migrants in recent years.

Over 600 people drowned when a migrant boat sank en route from Libya to Italy. The boat sank off Pylos in Greece on 14 June last year.

"Investigations have been initiated in Greece, but no facts about the accident have been communicated", write the two UN agencies. They stress that it is crucial to clarify, among other things, the actions of the Greek coastguard on the day of the accident.

Earlier this week, human rights organisations Human Rights Watch and Amnesty also demanded answers from Greek investigators.

Only 104 people survived the disaster when the boat, Adriana, which likely had up to 750 migrants on board, sank.
