Emergency shipments via the provisional pier built in Gaza have been resumed since the one damaged by severe sea conditions last week, according to the US military.

"Today, a total of approximately 492 tons of urgently needed humanitarian aid have been delivered to the people of Gaza," writes the US military's Central Command in a press release.

The pier built by the US military was only in operation for about a week before it was damaged by strong winds and harsh sea conditions on May 25.
