The temporarily paused license hunting of wolverines in Jämtland has been resumed, reports Swedish Hunting.

The County Administrative Board in Jämtland decided at the end of August that 25 wolverines may be shot until December 31. The Swedish Predator Association appealed the decision, but the appeal initially ended up at the wrong court. When it finally reached the right one, the Administrative Court in Luleå, the court decided to pause the hunt pending a decision. Now the decision has been made, which means the green light for the license hunting.

The stop was due to an unfortunate mistake, but now the hunt is on again. It feels very good that the license hunting can be carried out in accordance with the County Administrative Board's decision, says Martin Bergwall, wildlife manager at the County Administrative Board in Jämtland, to the magazine.
