A paramedic is convicted of causing another person's death and reckless driving in traffic after an accident in Östersund 2022, writes SVT Jämtland.
The ambulance drove into a red light at an intersection and collided with a passenger car. The car was then thrown off and hit a pedestrian. An elderly woman was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries.
The Östersund District Court finds that the paramedic did not take the necessary measures to avoid the accident and therefore failed in his judgment, writes SVT.
The sentence was a conditional sentence and daily fines.
