Carl Grundström was one of the many Swedish NHL players who took World Championship bronze with Tre Kronor in the spring.
Now it is clear that the Swede is changing clubs in the world's best hockey league.
The 26-year-old is being traded from Los Angeles Kings to San Jose Sharks. As a result, he will become teammates with the club's two other Swedes, William Eklund and Fabian Zetterlund.
The Björklöven-bred player has been playing in the Los Angeles organization since the 2018/19 season, but now he is being traded by the club. In the opposite direction, defenseman Kyle Burroughs is going.
No further climb up the table will happen for Grundström.
San Jose finished last in the entire NHL last season, while Los Angeles was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Grundström played 55 matches in the NHL last season, and scored twelve points.
