After years of feud: Oasis can reunite

After years of bitter sibling feud, the prospects for Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher to reunite look brighter than in a long time.

Friday, August 30, marks the 30th anniversary of Oasis' album "Definitely Maybe", and when Liam Gallagher decided earlier this year to perform a number of anniversary concerts, rumors began to circulate that his brother Noel would eventually join him on stage, according to NME. However, this has not happened so far.

But now, rumors are circulating in British media, including The Sun, that an announcement may come as early as this week. However, this is not the first time rumors of a reunion have circulated.

Hints on X

Liam Gallagher also fueled the rumors by writing "I never liked those words 'former'" on X on Sunday morning.

The Glastonbury Festival next summer is tipped to be the venue for a potential reunion, according to The Daily Mail, citing an unnamed source in the music industry.

They are aware that the top spot is available to them next summer. Now it's up to them.

According to The Times, large Oasis concerts have previously been planned at Manchester's Heaton Park and London's Wembley Stadium, but never materialized.

Unlikely Reunion

Oasis broke up in 2009 after a fight before a concert in Paris that ended with Liam smashing his brother's guitar. Since then, Liam Gallagher has repeatedly appealed to his brother to reunite, while Noel has been completely uninterested.

This can be assumed to be due to Noel Gallagher still earning money as a songwriter from Oasis, while his younger brother hopes for revenue from new performances with the band.

Now, however, they seem to be less angry with each other than before, according to NME, which cites a recent interview where Noel Gallagher praises his brother's singing.

Oasis was formed in Manchester, UK, in the early 1990s. During nearly 20 years of activity, they sold over 70 million albums. They repeatedly topped the British sales chart and had eight number one singles.
