Former Foreign Minister Tobias Billström (M) suddenly and unexpectedly left the government about a month ago. Now it is clear what he will do instead. He will run his own business and hold lectures and training sessions, reports Altinget. The lectures will have a geopolitical focus and he will hold training sessions and provide leadership consulting.

Billström will work alone in the company and not hire anyone, writes the newspaper, which has taken part in Billström's application to the Karensnämnden to start a limited liability company.

The Karensnämnden reviews new employments or assignments for former government ministers, for example. The board, which can prevent or impose restrictions on the assignment during a transition period, approved the application on Tuesday.

The board assesses that "the knowledge he (Billström) acquired as a government minister does not give rise to any risk that could motivate a transition restriction", writes chairperson Anna Skarhed in the decision, according to Altinget.
