Several accidents have occurred in the Midsummer traffic.

On the E4, near Ödeshög, a car has overturned onto the wrong side of the road. Three people have been taken to hospital, according to the rescue services.

The car was travelling in a northerly direction, but for some reason ended up on the wrong side of the road and overturned. It is unclear how seriously injured the affected people are.

At 14:30, the road was closed, except for one lane in a northerly direction, but by 17:00, traffic was flowing again.

At around 14:00, another accident occurred, when two cars collided outside Nordby in Strömstad municipality. Three people were taken from the scene by ambulance, one to hospital and two to a health centre for checks, reports Bohusläningen.

Queue formation at ferry terminals

Bengt Olsson, press officer at the Transport Administration, says that the largest queue formation has occurred in connection with the ferry terminals, including in Blekinge and Bohuslän.

It's people who want to get out to the archipelago with the road ferries. We have put on extra departures so that everyone can get out to the islands, but that's where the queues are forming, says Bengt Olsson to TT.

On the roads around Stenungsund, traffic is being diverted from the E6 to smaller roads, following a landslide in the area. It's particularly congested there.

There are plenty of cars driving on smaller roads, and finding their way out to the coast, but it's not a catastrophe.

Dense traffic in Roslagen and Dalarna

Other areas where traffic is dense are Roslagen, Värmdö, and on the roads around Siljan in Dalarna.

It's also the case on the roads on the Öland side and on the Öland Bridge, and on the roads along the west coast. It's usually on the smaller roads that you get the occasional queue.

Bengt Olsson advises motorists to "accept the situation and follow the traffic rhythm".

If it's moving at all, it's moving, and then it usually sorts itself out. It doesn't usually have a significant impact on time either.
