At least 40 people have died in the tropical storm Trami that has swept over the Philippines. Rescue workers are fighting against floodwater to reach people who are still stranded on their roofs as the storm continues to move westward over the South China Sea.
Over 190,000 people have been forced to leave their homes due to the flooding after the rains that in two days in some places gave as much water as normally comes in two months.
We hope that the flooding will subside today, since it has stopped raining, says Andre Dizon at the police.
