Nearly 40 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in the city of Khan Yunis, according to Gaza's civil defense.
According to the reports, the attacks are said to have been directed against two different homes and took place during early morning on Friday.
Israel's military says in a statement that "a number of terrorists have been eliminated" in southern Gaza.
While the Israeli forces continue their operations throughout Gaza, Israel's military has intensified its air and ground attacks in the northern part of the Gaza Strip over the past weeks, where Hamas members are currently regrouping, according to the military.
