An Israeli air strike has destroyed a second border crossing between Lebanon and Syria. This means that there is now only one official passage between the countries that is still in operation, according to Lebanon's Transport Minister Ali Hamieh.
Early on Friday morning, the pro-Iranian Lebanese news agency al-Mayadeen reported that one of their cameramen and one of their technicians were killed in an Israeli attack. A cameraman who worked for Hezbollah's TV station al-Manar was also killed in the attack, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA.
The local news station Al Jadeed showed images from the site, which showed collapsed buildings and cars marked "press" covered in dust and debris.
Ali Shoeib, al-Manar's correspondent in southern Lebanon, said in a video that the Israeli military knew that there were journalists from different media organizations in the area that was attacked.
We reported the news and showed the victims' suffering, and now we are the news and the victims of Israel's crimes, added Shoeib in the video broadcast on al-Manar.
The Israeli military has not yet commented on the attack.
Five Israeli soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon on Thursday. Two were injured, according to information from the Israeli military.
In total, 32 Israeli soldiers have now been reported killed in Lebanon since the ground operation began a few weeks ago.
