Ebbot on Oasis: Maybe They Got Inspiration from Us

Joy and astonishment are the first reactions to Oasis reuniting. I've been walking around with a buzz all morning, says PR consultant and Oasis enthusiast Ninna Prage.

Ebbot Lundberg, the singer of the band Soundtrack of Our Lives, who has toured with Oasis, sounds surprised when he hears the news about the Gallagher brothers reuniting.

But that's the way it is with all bands, they always reunite in the end if no one gets shot.

It's been decades since the two bands toured together, but Lundberg recently met several Oasis members when the reunited Soundtrack of Our Lives played in London.

They came and saw us, all except Liam. So maybe they got inspired by us. Maybe they saw that it works anyway, despite everything, says Lundberg and laughs.

Are you happy?

It's always fun when fun people reunite. I wish them good luck. But I won't travel anywhere to see them play.

"Big music news"

Music journalist Tali da Silva thinks the reunion is one of the year's biggest music news, since no one believed it would happen.

I still feel like "I'll believe it when I see it", they'll have to hold together until next summer, she says.

She emphasizes that Oasis was one of the biggest bands of the 90s, and that they, along with Blur, were the face of Britpop. They managed to combine rough rock and roll with a certain sentimentality and big feelings, da Silva believes.

They also personified the rowdy rock star, says da Silva, who emphasizes that it was trendy in the 90s.

She thinks that several of the songs still hold up, but that much is worn out.

Just the thought of having to hear "Wonderwall" again feels unbearable.

"A bit divided"

PR consultant Ninna Prage has followed Oasis since her early teens, and is happy but also divided.

It's double when you've thought so incredibly much about a band when they were at their best. There's always a risk with reunions.

She got hooked on Oasis in 1994, due to the combination of Noel's songwriting and Liam's singing.

It was something entirely special when Liam was at his best, the raw, inner intensity he had. If you draw a parallel to the other bands in the same period, Oasis was the rock, Blur and Pulp were pop, but Oasis had the guitars.

Ninna Prage also appreciates the drama surrounding the band – the brothers wear their hearts on their sleeves and you never know what will happen around them, she emphasizes. And she doesn't hesitate – she'll see the band.

The planning is already underway.
