Time for the summer's football highlight – the European Championship final.

Both England and Spain have a chance to make history and Gareth Southgate's fate will be decided.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match between Spain and England.

What: Spain–England, final.

When: Sunday, July 14, 21.00.

Where: Olympiastadion, Berlin.

TV/radio: TV4, TV4 Play, P4 Radiosporten.

+ Spain can become the most successful champions

Spain and Germany are the two countries with the most European Championship gold medals, with three each.

If Spain wins against England, they will take the lead and can call themselves the most successful champions in European Championship history.

+ England can take their first gold

England's men's national team has never become European champions. The closest they have come is the silver they took in the last European Championship, 2021, when they lost the final on penalties to Italy.

A win for England would therefore mean their first European Championship title.

+ Who can play?

Spain's midfielder Pedri will definitely not play due to the injury he sustained during the quarterfinal against Germany.

But there are also some uncertain cards.

During the celebration of Spain's advancement to the final, after the semifinal against France, Álvaro Morata collided with a security guard who tried to stop a pitch invader.

After the collision, the striker got a pain in his leg and started limping. There is talk of a possible knee sprain, and it is unclear how Morata will fare ahead of the final.

England's right-back Kieran Trippier was substituted at halftime in the semifinal against the Netherlands. After the match, national team coach Gareth Southgate said it was a precautionary measure as Trippier suffers from a groin injury.

The Guardian reported on Saturday that all 26 players in the English squad trained and that there were no injury concerns.

+ Southgate's future

England's criticized national team coach Gareth Southgate has taken his team to yet another semifinal.

Some critics have now changed their minds and are praising him, while others still hold their opinion. What impact can a European Championship gold have on opinions, do you think?

Before the championship, Southgate said he would resign as national team coach if England doesn't win gold. But English media report that the English Football Association wants to extend with the 53-year-old regardless of the result against Spain.

Southgate is also rumored to be knighted in England if they win the European Championship gold.

A lot is at stake for Gareth Southgate on Sunday, simply put.
