Erik Ekstrand becomes sidekick to presenter Anders Jansson during the premiere season of "The Floor Sweden".

Erik Ekstrand, who recently hosted "Hotel Romance", is looking forward to the assignment.

"It feels incredibly exciting and fun to be part of such a powerful programme as "The Floor". Getting to do it with Anders is a bit of a 'pinch myself' situation!," he says in a statement.

Comedian Anders Jansson is leading the Swedish version of the international TV hit "The Floor", which premieres this autumn on Channel 5 and Max.

"The Floor Sweden" is based on a Dutch concept that has been adapted in, among other places, the USA and France. In the programme, 100 contestants meet in duels on a giant LED floor divided into 100 squares, each representing a person and an area of expertise.

The person who ultimately "controls" the entire floor wins the programme and receives a prize of one million kronor.
