A win sends Sweden to the European Championship. Otherwise, an uncertain playoff awaits the Swedish women's football team.

Here's what's most important to keep an eye on ahead of tonight's thrilling European Championship qualifying match against England at Gamla Ullevi.

What: European Championship qualifying in football.

Where: Gamla Ullevi, Gothenburg.

When: Tonight at 19.00.

TV/Radio: SVT/SVT Play and P4 Radiosporten.

Conditions: It's the last match in the qualifying round and Sweden needs to win to take the second direct spot to the European Championship 2025 behind already-qualified France. If England takes points, it's the "Lionesses" who will snatch the European Championship ticket. Then Sweden will have to try to reach the championship via playoff in the fall.

Injury situation: IFK Norrköping midfielder My Cato injured her arm during training last week and is not available. Otherwise, Sweden appears to have a fully fit squad. This includes Chelsea back Nathalie Björn and Houston midfielder Elin Rubensson, who both had injury problems ahead of the gathering and therefore sat out Friday's match against France.

England's most notable absence is that Chelsea star Lauren James has had to decline the gathering. This means Sarina Wiegman loses one of her biggest offensive threats.

The opposition: England is the reigning European champion and thoroughly defeated Sweden on their way to gold two years ago, winning the semifinal 4–0. In the European Championship qualifying premiere at Wembley in April, the blue-and-yellow women's football team got some revenge when they put in a fine performance that yielded a 1–1 draw. The pressure is also high on the English team, which, like Sweden, is expected to reach the European Championship.

Sweden, possible starting eleven (4–3–3): Zecira Musovic – Hanna Lundkvist, Linda Sembrant, Magdalena Eriksson, Jonna Andersson – Filippa Angeldahl, Kosovare Asllani, Julia Zigiotti Olme – Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Madelen Janogy, Fridolina Rolfö.

Other squad members: Jennifer Falk (gk), Emma Holmgren (gk), Nathalie Björn, Hanna Glas, Emma Kullberg, Josefine Rybrink, Anna Sandberg, Hanna Bennison, Evelyn Ijeh, Sofia Jakobsson, Rosa Kafaji, Elin Rubensson, Felicia Schröder, Matilda Vinberg.

National team coach: Peter Gerhardsson.

England, possible starting eleven (4–3–3): Hannah Hampton – Lucy Bronze, Millie Bright, Leah Williamson, Jess Carter – Ella Toone, Keira Walsh, Georgia Stanway – Lauren Hemp, Alessia Russo, Beth Mead.

Other squad members: Mary Earps (gk), Khiara Keating (gk), Anna Moorhouse (gk), Niamh Charles, Alex Greenwood, Maya Le Tissier, Esme Morgan, Millie Turner, Missy Bo Kearns, Grace Clinton, Fran Kirby, Jess Park, Aggie Beever-Jones, Chloe Kelly, Jessica Naz.

National team coach: Sarina Wiegman.
