After the big defeat – Häcken sacks the coach Pål-Arne "Paco" Johansen

Häcken sacks men's coach Pål-Arne "Paco" Johansen. His last match was Sunday's 0-4 loss to Malmö FF, which was the Hisings club's fifth consecutive match in Allsvenskan without a win.

"Lately, we haven't gotten the results with us, which has made us lose touch with the top teams in the series. Unfortunately, we don't see the development in our performances that we expected so far into the season, and in our latest matches, we see that we lack energy and a common faith in what we're supposed to do", says Häcken's sports manager Martin Ericsson in a press release.

Häcken finished third in Allsvenskan last year, and before this season, "Paco" Johansen came to the club to replace Per Mathias Høgmo. But with seven matches left to play, the yellow-and-black team is in ninth place in the table.

In the press release from Häcken, the now-fired Norwegian says he takes responsibility for "our results lately not being good enough".

For the remainder of the season, the men's team will be trained by Joop Oosterveld, who is being promoted from the club's P19 team, together with existing assistant coaches Rasmus Lindgren and Jesper Ljung.

Häcken is the seventh Allsvenskan club to change coaches during this season.

Elfsborg: Early this spring, it became clear that Jimmy Thelin had gotten a new coaching job in Aberdeen. He left in the summer and was replaced by Oscar Hiljemark.

IFK Göteborg: Jens Askou was bought out by Sparta Prag. Instead, Stefan Billborn took over the main responsibility in "Blåvitt" at the beginning of the summer.

Kalmar FF: Burnley released Henrik Jensen from his contract with Kalmar FF, who let Stefan Larsson – who was already in the club – take over the coaching responsibility.

AIK: Henning Berg chose to resign from his job in June. Then, the Solna club recruited Mikkjal Thomassen as the new head coach.

Värnamo: Anes Mravac was fired in August and replaced by Ferran Sibila.

Halmstad: For almost a month ago, HBK chose to get rid of Magnus Haglund. An internal solution in the form of Johan Lindholm replaced him.

Häcken: Pål Arne "Paco" Johansen didn't even get to do a full season in the club before getting fired on Monday.
