Harris was the only candidate on the ballot for the five-day electronic voting where 4,000 delegates - grassroots activists and politicians appointed during the primary process - will vote on who will officially become the party's presidential candidate for the autumn election.

I am honored to be the presumed democratic candidate, she says, but adds that it will not be official until next week.

In July, Kamala Harris' presidential campaign raised 310 million dollars - twice as much money as Donald Trump collected during the same period.

During the same month, Trump's campaign raised 138.7 million dollars, according to a press release on Thursday.

The largest part - 200 million dollars - she received after replacing Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.

Harris' campaign appears to have gained momentum among both large and small donors - a turnaround from the uncertain period after Biden's weak performance in the TV debate between Biden and Trump in June, when major donors stopped their collections.

Two-thirds of the money was sent in by first-time donors, according to Harris' campaign team.

Trump's campaign fund now stands at 327 million dollars, while Harris' campaign fund has a total of 377 million dollars.
