Several young people are convicted of serious drug offenses and several cases of aggravated assault in Western Sweden. Those involved sold drugs to hundreds of young people via Snapchat, reports P4 Skaraborg.
Amphetamines, cocaine, and marijuana were sold via a hidden group in the mobile app Snapchat.
A 20-year-old man, who was leading the handling, is sentenced to prison for seven and a half years. In addition to several serious drug offenses, he has, among other things, induced a 17-year-old boy to commit money laundering.
The district court writes in the judgment that the 20-year-old has hired and instructed the younger to deposit and transfer criminal proceeds, so that the money could then be laundered further.
According to the prosecutor, the judgment concerns several different investigations. Nine out of twelve defendants are now convicted by Skaraborg's district court.
In connection with the 20-year-old and another person being detained on the same premises, torn pieces of paper were found that showed communication between the two.
It is clear that it may have affected what they have said and not said, says prosecutor Anneli Synnerdahl to TT.
The convicted have wholly or partially denied the crimes.
In police interrogations, it has emerged that the 20-year-old has connections to gang criminal networks in Backa, Gothenburg.
