The Ica group reports a profit before tax of 1.7 billion kronor for the third quarter. This can be compared to 1.4 billion during the same period last year.

It's a good result, says Nina Jönsson.

Revenue simultaneously increased to 39.4 billion kronor in the quarter, from 36.9 billion a year earlier. According to Ica, they continue to increase their market shares.

We have made a major investment in food price investments and we have also invested heavily in Swedish and local products, and we see that customers are making their purchases to a greater extent in one place. It was different when there was high price inflation, says Nina Jönsson.

According to Ica, food prices were stable during the quarter, but the question remains of great importance going forward.

Customers will continue to have prices in focus, says Nina Jönsson and continues:

It's tough for our customers. It's a continued high interest rate and we don't expect our customers to have it much better until next summer.

The Ica group announces simultaneously that they will open a specialty store, Gaston, for pets, where they will offer pet food and accessories.

In addition to a nationwide e-commerce, the physical store in Uppsala will open on November 21.
