A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital by ambulance on Monday afternoon after a drowning alarm at a bathing spot outside Umeå, reports Västerbottens-Kuriren.
The woman is now being cared for in the intensive care unit with life-threatening injuries, according to Region Västerbotten.
A person has been pulled out of the water, it is considered serious, said RLC commander Michael Saveman to TT earlier.
