A 25-year-old man has been injured in a shooting on Ystadsgatan near Möllevångstorget in Malmö. The man is seriously injured, according to Region Skåne.
A boy under 15 years old has been detained in connection with the crime scene, suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons offense, according to the police.
The alarm about the shooting came at around 6 pm on Sunday.
When we arrive, we find a young man with injuries indicating that they are gunshot wounds, says police spokesperson Fredrik Bratt.
The man received initial care from the police before being taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The crime scene was cordoned off for a technical investigation. The police have spoken with witnesses and are also examining possible surveillance cameras in the area.
There were quite a lot of people at the scene, says Fredrik Bratt.
During the night to Sunday, a man with gunshot wounds was found in an apartment in another part of Malmö. It is unclear whether the events are connected to each other.
It's not something I have any comment on, but it's something that the investigation leaders are looking into in every such case, says Fredrik Bratt.
