A mosque in southern Lebanon was destroyed in an Israeli air raid early on Sunday morning.
"At 03.45, the enemy's plane carried out an air raid on the old mosque in the center of the village of Kfar Tebnit," reported Lebanon's news agency. The village is located a mile from the border with Israel. According to the mayor, the nearly 100-year-old mosque was a gathering place for residents.
Civil Infrastructure
On Saturday, areas in both southern and northern Lebanon were attacked. According to the country's health department, 51 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Saturday, reports AFP.
According to Israel, Hezbollah uses civil infrastructure in both Lebanon and Gaza, which Hezbollah denies.
On Sunday afternoon, the Israeli military went out and asked residents of about 20 communities in southern Lebanon to evacuate.
"The army has no intention of harming you. For your safety, you must immediately evacuate your homes and move to the northern part of the Awali River," writes the Israeli military's spokesperson Avichay Adraee in Arabic on X.
