However, the prosecutors' investigation into the former film mogul is not yet complete, and they could not present a clear timeline for when it will be.
According to Weinstein's lawyer, the prolonged investigation is part of a delaying tactic.
Four years ago, Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault against two women in New York. In April this year, the New York Supreme Court overturned the verdict, citing errors during the trial. However, according to prosecutors, there are new charges against Weinstein, from individuals who were previously not ready to come forward.
Two years ago, Weinstein was also sentenced to 16 years in prison in Los Angeles for further assaults and rape against a woman.
