A 40-year-old man was caught on film when he stole underwear from a clothesline in a garden in Falkenberg. The police managed to identify the man and found a large amount of images and films with child abuse in his home, reports SVT News Halland.

The incident occurred in the summer of 2023, when a woman had hung underwear on a clothesline outdoors. Through a surveillance camera, the man is seen entering the garden and taking underwear from the clothesline.

Thanks to the surveillance footage, the police were later able to establish the identity of the thief and raided his home. The man had previously been convicted of child pornography offenses, and over 5,000 images and films of child abuse were found in his home.

The man is now sentenced to one year and two months in prison for both the theft of the underwear and gross child pornography offenses.
