A woman from Värmland is suspected of having defrauded hundreds of thousands of kronor by pretending to be the artist Per Gessle, reports P4 Värmland.
She is now being prosecuted for several cases of money laundering.
The woman herself claims to have been contacted by someone who pretended to be Per Gessle and needed money to run several orphanages. At the same time, she is suspected of having received large sums from other women who claim to have been contacted by the artist.
The woman admits to the sequence of events according to P4, but denies any wrongdoing.
