Cuba was hit by a national power outage on Friday after a major power plant failed.
The work to try to connect the network for the country's eleven million inhabitants was still ongoing late in the evening, local time, without a prognosis for when the outage can be rectified.
Millions of inhabitants were already affected on Thursday evening, local time, when a large part of the network stopped functioning. Large and recurring outages are common, but not total ones.
