Two leading figures in a Viking sect in western Sweden were sentenced on Thursday to six and three months in prison, respectively, for unlawful threats and threats against a public official, local media report.
A special gallows was built on the sect's property where members then threatened to execute several local politicians in Skaraborg. In connection with the execution, a new Viking era would arise, the sect claimed, writes GP.
The convicted members must also pay approximately 300,000 kronor each in damages to the local politicians against whom the threats of execution were directed, according to the verdict in Skaraborg District Court.
