At least one civilian death has been reported in a massive drone attack by Ukrainian drones on Russian targets overnight, according to Russian authorities.
"Russian air defence detected and destroyed 70 drones over Crimea and the Black Sea, 43 drones over Krasnodar and one over Volgograd," according to the Defence Ministry.
However, falling debris still caused damage. A worker at a power plant in Krasnodar is reported to have been killed. And several buildings at an oil refinery were hit, resulting in destruction.
Ukraine is apparently expanding its retaliatory attacks on Russian and Russian-held areas. This is happening in the light of Russian attacks that have knocked out parts of Ukraine's energy system. Several parts of Ukraine are currently experiencing rolling power outages during the day.
