The proposals presented by the government's insurance inquiry in April this year have been rejected by the Sweden Democrats – and will not be implemented, according to the party, reports Arbetet.

It's always about give and take, and just when it comes to these issues presented in this inquiry, we have been very clear that we think they are bad proposals and we have got a hearing, simply, says SD's group leader in the Riksdag Linda Lindberg to the newspaper, after the government's and SD's budget negotiations for next year.

The proposals, presented by the investigator Per Johansson in the spring, have been criticized by many referral bodies and trade unions. He suggested a return to tougher requirements for sickness insurance, since the previous Social Democratic government implemented easing measures in 2020-2022. Among other things, he proposed that the tougher requirements for receiving sickness benefits after day 180 be reintroduced.

According to Lindberg, all of the inquiry's proposals are now scrapped.
